Dorian T. Warren is an associate professor in Political Science and in the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, where he specializes in the study of inequality, American politics, and labor. He is also a fellow at the Roosevelt Institute and appears regularly on television and radio. Warren teaches and conducts research on labor organizing and politics, race and ethnic politics, urban politics and policy, American political development, community organizing and social movements, and social science methodology. Prior to joining Columbia, he was a visiting scholar at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago and at the Russell Sage Foundation. He has worked with several national and local organizations including the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, American Rights at Work, AFL-CIO, UNITE-HERE, SEIU, UFCW, Steelworkers, NGLTF Policy Institute, and Jobs with Justice.
