Is Islam a religion of peace? That's the complex question at the center of the latest edition of the Itelligence Squared Debate series. Speaking for the motion will be Muslim-American leader Zeba Khan, who launched the organization Muslim-Americans for Obama in 2008, and Maajid Nawaz, a former leading member of the Islamic Liberation Party, Hizb ut-Tahrir, and now director of Quilliam, a counter-extremism think tank. The opposition will be made up of active critic of Islamic fundamentalism and women's rights advocate Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and founder of the Centre for Social Cohesion, Douglas Murray.

By the end of a spirited and high-level debate held here last week, many in the audience of about 400 dramatically shifted their opinions and agreed with the proposition that “Islam is dominated by radicals.”
