Such interesting economic times we live in!
This time last year, we were hearing predictions that a Trump presidency would “very probably” lead to a global recession and that the markets would plunge, never to recover.
And so far? No recession. The stock market hits record highs every few weeks. Inflation still in hand and jobs reports pointing upward month after month.
And the soundtrack under all of these optimistic developments? The president taking personal credit for all of it.
There’s so much going on here that, when we decided to frame a debate around matters of the economy, we switched to the format we call “Unresolved.” That’s when we break the topic up into different resolutions, and power through them in the amount of time we normally devote to just a single resolution. Our fans have loved the energy of those events in the past, and when we do it again this Tuesday night, at Symphony Space in New York, we are to going make this topic sparkle.

Globalization Is Hurting American Workers
Deregulation Is Driving the Booming Economy
The Stock Market Is Too High
