Henry Kissinger at 99: A Conversation on Leadership

For more than six decades, Henry Kissinger has been a force in international affairs. Arguably among the most recognizable of U.S. diplomats, he served as Secretary of State and National Security Advisor to Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. That, however, is but a snap-shot of his true power and influence. Considered a scholar of diplomacy and a prolific writer, Kissinger consulted on security matters for much of the 20th and 21st centuries, advising presidents ranging from Dwight D. Eisenhower to Donald Trump. Informed, perhaps, by his own childhood in Nazi Germany, the subsequent career that took to him to the centers of power is both celebrated and the subject of controversy. In a special Intelligence Squared collaboration with How To Academy, the United Kingdom’s leading thought leadership platform, Bloomberg Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait sits down with Henry Kissinger to discuss his life, his perspective, his public experience, and how they each relate to modern leadership in this fast-changing world.
